Keeping it simple today...

Working hard is great! Earning a good income even greater.
But, what is it all worth if you DO NOT enjoy LIFE?

I am sure you get what I mean and if you don't, think about it...
Stop and enjoy your life, the people who are in it, get to know others, step out of your "normality" and have some FUN for a change!
Financial stability is important but in my opinion, it means NADA, ZILCH, ZERO,
 -0-, NOTHING, if it blinds you from having QUALITY moments in LIFE!

Blogging...
Twenty-three days and thirty-two posts!

 I have called this a baby step and indeed it has been and will remain for a while.
I am in no rush. I love the idea that my long term goals are being discovered day by day!
This "hobby" is one that brings me huge satisfaction!
For twenty-three days, I have slept better!
I can assure you that there is TRUTH to the old adage that "writing is therapeutic!"
 Letting a pen to a paper or a finger to a keyboard has been exhilarating for me.
Sharing my thoughts with at the very least one other person and the possibility that the person will get what I have to say, "fuels my fire!"
I have a lot of growth to do in the "writing" department however, I am eager to give it a TRY regardless!
The fears of grammatical errors have kept me in hiding way too long!
I have seen many things and people who have all touched my heart. I refuse to sit back and hold in the chance to influence others positively!
That right there, is why I am here on day twenty-three

Things to remember

On Easter Sunday, there were many families that gathered in hopes of making memories to treasure!
Homes were filled with the BLESSINGS of Easter.
Relatives & friends all over the world thought of their loved ones;
The people in their lives who are here, the people who were having Easter celebrations with others, the people who live MILES away and the people who have passed.

Easter

Easter is here!

It has been an amazing month of LENT.
Personally, this has been a time of renewal. A time of reflection.
For children, it has been a time for themselves to re-discover the meaning of EASTER.

Awake

To awake is a gift each time it happens.

To have your loved ones awaken, that too is a gift! 

The magnificence of being "awaken" each day are often underestimated! 

Make the effort to become AWARE of the grandeur in the word awaken.

Once you realize that grandeur in what I am trying to explain, identify if you are appreciating that grandeur?

With your loved ones that were awaken today:

Do they know how much you love them? 

Do they know how much they sincerely mean to you?

When you were awaken today:

Did you tell yourself that you are worth so much?

Have YOU awakened numerous times wondering,

" is today going to be the day that my life changes?"

If so, START with YOU first! 

Instead of "wondering" if today will be the "day" your life changes, start your day by asking yourself, "How can I contribute to changing the things that I'd like to see changed in my life?, How can I make someone else's day better?, What do I need to do to help make the value I have in me SHINE and brighten my life and that of others?"

Think about this for a moment:

 Besides the obvious of being grateful for each day you awake and are healthy etc...do you immediately start to appreciate LIFE or worry and start complaining?, wanting the things you don't have, forgetting to appreciate the things you do have?, focusing on a "poor me" attitude? 

Whether you live alone for yourself or others, YOU have value. Find that value and put yourself to great use! Stop the the negative thoughts! Don't let them in. 

Start with your HEART, it is awake but is it really AWAKENED? 

It's your choice on how awake you will be? 

It's your choice on how much you will appreciate each time you are awakened!

Boldly give thanks for the here and now.

 Faithfully look forward to the moments that lie ahead; the moments you find yourself AWAKENED :)

My 1st brief interview with an everlasting touch to my soul! You won't want to skip this!

Today, I would like to present you with a brief interview that has had a lasting impression!
This brief interview started and ended with the simple question:
"If you were a song today, what song would you be?"

I decided to place this interview in the spotlight!
I am sure you want to know why? Right?
Here's why:
My attention to this particular person was drawn because the answer comes from a twelve year old child. Yes, a twelve year child.
I did not ask, "Which song would inspire you?, What is your favorite song?, or What song is the most popular amongst your peers these days?"
I asked, "So, if  YOU were a song today, what song would you be today?"
Her answer in a SPLIT second:

"I would be 'PRAY' by Justin Bieber."

Now, I expected a Justin Bieber song title as he is so popular these days however, I did NOT expect the song title 'PRAY' to be the song a twelve year old would choose to "be them" for a day!
This is important:
 If you have NEVER heard this song or seen the video, PLEASE do so now on the clips I have provided for you via 'YOUTUBE' today.
I ask you to do this so you can gain an understanding of the magnitude this response had in my life!

With this message received in your heart, can you  understand why I felt compelled to share this with you?
If we can just pause ourselves for a moment daily to recall that there is a world beyond where we stand! A world where for just a twelve year old, the possibilities are endless. Where for a twelve year old, she took herself into this song for a day.
In her world, she believes in the power of PRAYER. She allowed herself to be inspired by such an omnipotent song.

Here is what this twelve year old had to say:

A note for a VERY IMPORTANT PERSON!

Follow your heart.

Where there is positivity be careful because negativity lurks like a shark ready to attack.

Know who you are! Stick to the person you are, the person you want to be. If you are TRUE to yourself, you'll become the person GOD created you to be!! You are the only one of YOU. Don't mold yourself to please others. In the same token don't let pride take over you! There is enough VIGOR in you to shut out the noise that brings you fear! Your gifts can only be found when you let go of fear! Just go with it! So long as you are not hurting anything physically or mentally! Do you need approval to use your gifts? Generally, as long as they are all legal no, you don't. YOU have God's approval! Do you need to obsess over making it just right? No, in making your errors is where your gifts will SHINE! You'll see that FLAWS are a part of life. Flaws add to BEAUTY. Look around you! The most breathtaking views, objects, people have FLAWS! For many today, it is Palm Sunday, the Sunday before the celebration of Easter.
This has been a time of reflection and sacrifice.
 Discovering the power of GOD, seeking to become humble, forgiving, forgetting and pressing on to become better persons.
Contributing to make our world better.
Pledging to see the beauty in EVERY single HUMAN that shares in the same concepts of PEACE.
Being examples in the flesh of who GOD wants us to be.
Today, is a NEW DAY.
Tomorrow will never return.

What pattern will you discover in yourself?

Today, I am wrapping up this weeks feature on some of my favorite previous 'FACEBOOK' status updates.

There were many choices going back as far as 12/01/2010.
I discovered a repeated pattern.
For my updates, the general ideas were to inspire, give hope and attempt to get people to see the best in most situations. So, as I place this last update for now, I will say that this BLOG is where I need to be as of now in my life.

Status update, December 1st 2010:

Ever look around and get overwhelmed at the person you've

Where you've been to where you are? 


All of the things that happen that you simply don't understand 


how?! How did this happen? How was this possible? The 


outcome of that kind of thinking can overwhelm some. For 


me, it's an abundance of WOW...I don't know how it 


happened but I do know that's the ASTONISHING


BRILLIANCE of 


GOD ♥

I don't have huge plans, I don't have a finish date, but one thing I do know is that I LOVE to inspire and BLOGGING to this affect is where my heart wants me right now.  So, I will stay put here for a while. With one reader or a few hundred readers, I will give this my all! This blog of randomness is hoping to get your attention for daily reading. Again, I am aiming at inspiring and positively influencing all who allow themselves to be.

Own Your Life in Positivity: Thank YOU!

"Motorcycle wave"

Today, as I drove on the Country side, I noticed a lot of motorcyclists! The weather is beautiful and it makes you feel good! Windows down, hair in a pony, shades where they belong! On my nose not my head as an  accessory on a semi-cloudy day! Radio going and all I can think is Wow, "Spring has finally come!"

It's that time of year here in Jersey where the bikers can come out and "play" on their "play yards!"
These people who dare to get on motorcycles must live somewhat freely!
It takes a lot of courage to get on and ride!
They all share something in common, "it is generally done for pleasure, something to pass time, a way to explore, a thrilling feeling, or simply for practicality ..."

You can hear them from miles away, as I watch them I notice they have a bond with one another! For example,  if one person is riding on the North side, and there is another approaching on the South side (many times being a complete stranger!), they will both put out their hand to offer the "motorcycle wave." It's usually a hand down to the side with either two fingers out or an open palm generally to express a bikers hello.

Today marks my official 1st week of providing insight and positivity. This insight and positivity has resided in my soul for many years! I can remember spending countless hours just writing about anything in my room as a child. I have been told that my mother had the same love of writing when she was younger.

The word:

 ALIVE

What does it mean to you?

According to online dictionaries, the word means: HAVING LIFE, LIVING!

It's great to have dictionaries. For me, a dictionary is like A CANDY STORE TO A CHILD! It is spectacular to have such a variety of words and be able to put them to use in positive ways. You may have never looked at a dictionary this way but trust me, there is more to it than a book with black and white.

Now, that you have read the "dictionary definition," Pause for a moment.

Ask yourself the following:
What does the word ALIVE mean to me? You can choose to do this by yourself or pull your family in on this one with you. (Take distractions out of the equation)

Yes, you are living right NOW. as you read this you are "HAVING LIFE" as described by dictionaries. My  challenge to you is for you to discover if are you really ALIVE this moment. Are you appreciating the fact that you are "HAVING LIFE, LIVING?"  Are you making a difference in this world while you are "HAVING LIFE, LIVING?" Can you discover what it means for you to HAVE LIFE and see your loved ones HAVE LIFE?

Try to sit back and watch your role models, elders, inspirational people and dearest family members...They are ALIVE! Appreciate them, give thanks to them, give thanks to GOD above for them!  Let them inspire you to LIVE everyday to your MAXIMUM potential. Stop just "getting through" another day! Yes, it is your CHOICE on how your day/ LIFE will unfold today and everyday! If you found your HUMBLE HEART, it will make the challenge go smoother for you.

Find your HUMBLE heart

 For this post, I suggest that you are in a relaxed state. Turn off all of the "noise"- cell phone, t.v. etc... Find your favorite spot of your living quarters, light a tea light to set the mood (Do NOT walk away or forget to EXTINGUISH the candle PLEASE!) and read on...

What I am about to discuss is nothing ORIGINAL. As much as I'd like to be ORIGINAL all of the time, it is going to be impossible. We all know there are topics, phrases, and words that have all been discussed, blogged about or said over and over again. Maybe slightly different every now and then. And regardless of how it is presented the general ideas are still the same.

So, one may ask themselves the question, "well, why keep talking about it?"

My opinion: Let's keep talking about everything no matter how many times it has been stated anywhere! 

My reason: People may not understand it, may forget it, may pretend they are listening, may not want to hear it now but may be willing to hear it a month from now!! Sometimes we look at things differently when we hear them in another perspective. Lets keep it POSITIVE and TRUE when reading my blogs! 

With all of that said, I'd like to discuss with you what a HUMBLE heart can do for you.

Find your HUMBLE heart! 

This is taken from 1PETER5:9 NIV

     "Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you clothe yourselves with HUMILITY toward one another, because, "GOD opposes the proud but gives GRACE to the HUMBLE" Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your ANXIETY on him because he cares for YOU. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him standing FIRM in FAITH because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings."


 Before you say another word ever, stop (or at least TRY to). Will you use words spoken in PRIDE  or HUMILITY? Will your heart be PRIDEFUL or HUMBLED?  That is a question that will determine a lot of your fate in this LIFE.



Insight:
HUMBLE as defined in the Webster's Dictionary:

• 1. Not proud or haughty 
• 2. not pretentious: UNASSUMING 
• 3. INSIGNIFICANT 
• Synonyms: MEEK, MODEST, LOWLY

When you find yourself being taken over by PRIDE,  find your HUMBLE heart. 
Do whatever you need to do to bring you back to where GOD wants you. 
Your humble heart will have an impact on your LIFE, on the people who surround you. Reflect on a song like this. Let it drop you to your knees if need be and find that HUMBLENESS God so longs you to have.

If you haven't already that is ;) Stay BLESSED and under no STRESS! * I realize we may not all share the same religion but I am asking you to let yourself be moved spiritually! Find GOD! There is only ONE GOD.

R * Remind yourself that as a toddler, we had to learn to walk. It was a HUGE milestone in your LIFE with 

     just your FIRST "baby step"; We are fortunate to be able to walk! Please don't ever forget that it started

       simple "baby step" *Look how far you have come since that very first step! Just think of all the times you 

       have tripped, stumbled or fallen literally! You've always had to try and get back up right? 

      No one really ever wants to stay DOWN! 

      Now for a moment  think of the many people that are unable to walk... These people usually have a  

     thriving spirit and are determined not to let it stop them from living LIFE!

T * The truth according to Websters dictionary is defined as: The real state of things.; Sometimes it's piercing 

      to your soul, unpleasant and in black and white. I feel no matter how much it hurts, there is still positivity in 

      it! If the truth is handed to you, before you take it so personal, realize the facts. Do not add your 

      presumptions. 

    Take it in as "black and white" it may help you see all of the colorful positive that may come out of it!

H *Honesty- In order to have the truth or give the truth you must be HONEST with all things! Honesty can   

    be HARMFUL if done with carelessness, hurt, in retaliation... Honesty  should always be stated with poise, 

     tastefulness, tact and more importantly facts. Respect the feelings of others! In any situation, it is how you 

     present yourself that leaves the lasting IMPRESSION of YOU to GOD and the WORLD! 

U *Underestimating the POTENTIALS in yourself will leave you with a life half lived! We all have 

     POTENTIAL to contribute to LIFE in unremarkable ways and acts! Make yourself see the POSITIVE of 

     everything! If you have a negative situation, I promise you there is a positive in it! Make the EFFORT to 

     look  for it and share your story!

R *Receive your family and friends with love and compassion first always. Even the difficult people in your 

     life are worthy of that CHANCE to know you and be inspired by you.

As if it NEVER happened because God Lives in us!

4/06/2006,  5 years ago to the date, Fire took over our home.
Soot covered our walls, smoke filled our rooms, the smell of fire was unbearable. Our normal day was shaken, my world was shaken down to my inner core. My husband was the backbone to any ounce of FAITH that resided in me that day! Lonely, horrified and lost, we walked through the home to see what we could salvage. That day it was not our home, I wanted NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!

4/06/2011, TODAY, "...we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance" (Psalm 66:12 NIV)
 Our home is our place of serenity and sometimes chaos, lol
It's as if it NEVER HAPPENED! I shared this with you not to sadden you but to give you STRENGTH and a little bit of information on why I have become so positive in life!
God provided all of our needs in ABUNDANCE since then! He has given us family and friends all of which were there for us and helped us over come our sorrow. All of which motivated us to see better days ahead. My FAITH had been restored in a whole new way. My fears soothed by GOD. I can see flames and not panic anymore! I can actually inspire people to listen to the song "FIREWORK" by Katy Perry. The word does not shake me one bit anymore! From where we were 5yrs ago to where we are today, I can assure that God has a purpose for everything! What you loose in troubles and sorrows, he restores in ABUNDANCE!
